“Indianapolis, We Love You!”

Originally, Made New was scheduled to be off for the 4th of July weekend so we were just going to take it easy and do our second favorite thing to do…eat!   However, when you get a call from a good friend that really wants you to be a part of something special, it’s hard to say “no”.  When Tina Polk from the Metro Church of Christ in Indianapolis contacted me and asked for Made New’s presence at the 5th Anniversary Celebration to be held on July 6th, how could we say no.  Tina has always been a great supporter of the group and is such a wonderful person in general.  She is a hard worker and her dedication is exemplary.  When I received the call, I could sense the sincerity, excitement and anticipation in Tina’s voice, so we agreed to be there on the 6th.

It was a wonderful occasion and it was great to see a virtual “who’s who” of minister’s from the surrounding area in attendance as well.    Their unity speaks volumes and goes a long way towards maintaining the unity of the Body of Christ.  Being that the Indianapolis congregations and Kentucky congregations have a long standing and rich history of fellowship, it was also good to see old friends in the audience as well.  It makes it that much easier to relax and just let the Spirit move when you know that you are surrounded by friends and loved ones.

Thanks for the outpouring of hospitality.  The food was delicious, you were very accommodating, and it was so good to see long time friends once again.  May God continue to bless your efforts and give the increase.
